About SSK Portable SSD 1TB External Solid State Drives
86% appreciated the ample storage capacity
I transferred 420 GB of files, including documents, pictures, music, and videos, in under an hour, demonstrating the capacity of my external solid-state drive.
90% appreciated its wide compatibility, though 10% encountered issues with their device
I tested the drive on a Raspberry Pi 4B and found that it supports UASP and TRIM in Raspberry Pi OS, and is as fast as the best SSD models I have tested on the 4Bs USB 3.0.
I transferred all my documents, pictures, music, and video files (approximately 420 gbs) in under an hour and also transferred other files (119 gbs) from a thumb drive.
I tested the external solid-state drive and found a compatibility issue. When connected directly to the computer's USB-C (USB4/Thunderbolt (40Gb/s)) port, it provided 600MB/s SEQUENTIAL read & write speeds. However, when used with a hub, the speed was reduced by half.
I had a previous external drive that stopped working after I put all my data on it. I regretted not reading the reviews because everyone was having the same problem. The customer service of the previous company was bad. I like this one and it fits in my shirt pocket too.

88% praised its rugged and durable design, though 12% experienced damage after a drop
I tried the SSK Portable SSD 1TB External Solid State Drive and was amazed by its great performance, with speeds up to 1050MB/s and USB C connectivity.
The drive has been a constant problem, intermittently disconnecting itself for no reason.
I am returning the device because I need better performance and expect to use it for several years.
I am unsure if the unit was used or not as the packaging was battered and there was no user manual. Additionally, there were no tamper proof seals on the box to indicate if it had been opened or used.

92% praised for its fast data transfer speeds, while 8% experienced slow loading times
On my AMD based Windows 11 gaming laptop, I found that the SSD on a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port is much faster and almost doubles the performance of the SD300 thumb drive.
I tested the SSD and found that it does not deliver the promised performance. When connected directly to the computer's USB-C (USB4/Thunderbolt (40Gb/s)) port, I got 600MB/s SEQUENTIAL read & write speeds. However, when I used the hub, the speed was reduced by half. This has left me with a negative sentiment towards the SSD's performance.
I expected high speeds from the external nvme drive, but it only transfers at 280-300mb/s and drops to 90mb/s when it gets hot after a minute.
93% liked its compact and lightweight design, while 7% found it bulky
The packaging looked a little battered and there was no user manual as stated. Additionally, there were no tamper proof seals on the box to indicate if it had been opened or used.
