This device is suitable for those who need to read or play existing disks. It is easy to use by just plugging it in via USB or Type-C port.
Many new laptops no longer come with a CD/DVD player. If your needs are only for reading/playing existing disks, I recommend this device as I still have video and music disks.
I tested the product on both MacOS and Windows without any problems.

The drive has good speeds, no delays and decent performance, making it an excellent value and something I would want in my PC tech arsenal.
I can use the external CD/DVD drive with my windows laptop as soon as I plug it into the USB port and do not need to install any driver. This shows that the external CD/DVD drive is software compatible and easy to use.
I plugged in the external CD-DVD drive to my Windows 11 Home desktop and it worked immediately without any special cabling or additional software. I was even able to view some medical exam CDs like in the imaging center.
The device works on Chrome OS, but it cannot read Audio CDs. DVDs can be read, but there is no software on Chrome OS to play them.
