The cable is fully mountable inside the drive body, and a USB-A extension cable is included. There is also a micro-B port on the back for supplying supplementary 5V power if your computer's bus power isn't sufficient to power the drive. This drive has a great feature of a separate optional power connection, and a USB-A to micro-B cable is included to facilitate this connection.
