I plugged in the external CD-DVD drive to my Windows 11 Home desktop and it worked immediately without any special cabling or additional software. I was even able to view some medical exam CDs like in the imaging center.

I have used the device as a DVD/RW drive on both Windows 10/11 desktops. However, I am facing issues with the device as it is not finding the correct drivers and the Windows auto-installed driver is not keeping the device mounted according to the Device Manager.
I was able to rip multiple family DVDs using the Apple Superdrive, which recognized and autoplayed a DVD within seconds.
When I plugged the drive in, I could not find it in my file directory even though it powers on.
