I love the capability of importing custom design files, which allows for a wide range of creative possibilities.
The machine has automatic features such as an automatic threader, thread cutter, stop-start dial, and sliding dial to adjust sewing speed.

Adding designs using the USB port is very easy and it's a feature only on high end Brother machines, so it's worth the slight markup in price.
The SE600 has a large selection of built-in designs and is perfect for monograms or designs under 4 X 4 inches. I also use Brother ULT for really large designs.

As a user, I find the sewing machine easy to use. However, it may take some time to learn all the different screens and features.
The machine is easy to learn and use with a touchscreen for selecting and working with stitches. It has many decorative stitches to choose from and alerts for low bobbin thread or top thread issues. The built-in embroidery designs are also easy to work with.
Using the machine is easy, but getting it to do what I want is the hard part.

I am dissatisfied with the maintenance issues of the embroidery machine, specifically the inability to perform routine maintenance tasks like oiling the moving parts. This seems unusual to me as someone who is familiar with routine maintenance.
I have noticed intermittent failures in the machine, indicating maintenance issues.
I had to drive 30 minutes to an authorized repair dealer after getting an error code indicating a bad foot controller port. Unfortunately, the order is on back order and the dealer was unable to give a date. This indicates poor maintenance of the embroidery machine.
After 5 months of usage, the autothreader has stopped working.
