About Fosmon 6 Outlet Surge Protector 1200 Joules with 2 USB Ports Charger (3.1A)
Overall Feedback:
76% positive
71% appreciated the safety features, though 29% raised concerns
The product has 1200J surge protection and 2 USB outlets at the bottom to charge cell phones, etc.
I noticed that one outlet has a blue light indicating protection, but I'm unsure if the other outlet will protect my devices from a surge.
I noticed that the cat was constantly unplugging things by bumping them as he ran behind the couch.
73% liked the number of available outlets, but 27% found it insufficient
The wall outlet with 2 USB ports is the perfect solution for my problem of not having enough outlets near my computer area.
The outlets are close together and cannot be used for cell phone chargers or similar devices, limiting the number of outlets I can use.
74% liked the ease of use, while 26% found it confusing at times
The product has 2 USB ports, making it easy for friends to charge their phones without needing an extra outlet.
I can use 3-4 cords at a time in this outlet depending upon the size and orientation of my adapter bases.
The outlet is easy to use as it replaces the outlet cover and can be screwed in, making it easier to plug and unplug devices and appliances.
It is easy to install with surge protection. However, using all outlets is difficult due to the size of plug-in items. I was able to use 5 of the six outlets while still using an apple computer charger.
I found the installation easy and it worked for 24 hours, but the surge protector light stopped working after that.
78% highlighted the durability, but 22% mentioned it wore out quickly
These would be better suited for older style receptacles with a screw in between the plugs for fastening in place.
I have complained that the surge protector's VPR rating of 900 is the minimum requirement for a surge protector, which may not be sufficient to protect sensitive equipment from voltage surges.
When plugging or unplugging the unit, I noticed that it is a little unstable due to its distance from the wall. It would be better if it had 2-3 prongs in the back for better distribution and stability.
77% were satisfied with the long cord length, but 23% found it too short
The outlets are very close to each other, only appliances with a cable can be plugged in, and cell phone chargers or such cannot be plugged in without blocking the entire row of outlets.
69% appreciated the high build quality, yet 31% found it flimsy
When plugging or unplugging from the unit, it is unstable as the unit stands away from the wall.
The product comes off the wall easily due to the replacement of the lower set of prongs by a single plastic prong.
I appreciate the safety features of this product, including surge and overload protection, which give me peace of mind.
