I used the ballasts with T12 lights and they worked without any issues.
The wires of the ballast reach all the way to the lamp connectors, eliminating the need for wire splicing.
The new ballasts have an additional brown wire and the wiring diagram is not compatible with the old ballasts.
I personally faced a problem with the wiring diagrams on the product page, finding them misleading. The manufacturer has not clearly stated it. Based on my experience, I can say that the user has commented on this issue.
