I recommend using the round adapter for both US 3-prong and 2-prong plugs as it fits snugly on both sides, providing stability in the Euro/Schuko socket. Flat 2-prong adapters may have a loose connection or fall out of the socket, especially with heavy cables or an AD/DC converter at the plug end.
