About Unidapt European Plug Adapter Power Converter
Overall Feedback:
79% positive
76% praised the wide compatibility, but 24% faced issues
To plug in the device, I just need a simple plug converter.
I confirmed that I did not buy EU-specific electronics and all my stuff is 100-240v capable. I only needed the funny EU prongs.
The connection between the adapter and the US plugs is too soft, causing it to get unplugged easily and leaving the item's plug on the floor while the adapter remains plugged into the wall.
76% liked the durability, but 24% experienced premature wear
The adapters are sturdy and will likely last through many trips.
The connection between the adapter and the US plugs is too soft and it unplugs at the slightest movement, leaving my item's plug on the floor and the adapter still plugged into the wall.
The adapters are made from cheap and crackable plastic and stored in a way that bends the pins out of place.
I have complained that the adapter lacks grip on the US side, causing heavy devices to fall out under their own weight.
The low friction in the receptacles couldn't hold the weight and lever-arm of the wall warts, causing constant headaches on trains and in hotels.
90% liked the helpful indicator lights, but 10% found them unclear
The plug adapters make it super easy for me to add my own multi-device USB wall charger to any plug in Europe, exactly what I was looking for.
I noticed that one of the metal contacts inside was out of place and did not make contact with my US plug, causing an issue with the adapter.
One of the metal contacts inside was out of place and did not make contact with my US plug, causing an issue with the adapter.
The metal part of the prongs is too short, not allowing electricity to flow correctly.
I noticed that the connection was loose and it's dangerous to use.
86% found it portable, while 14% thought it was bulky
I am satisfied with the adaptors I bought for my trip. The plugs and European outlets worked well and the adaptors are sturdy enough to last through many trips.
These adapters are perfect for low voltage USB power for gadgets, camera, MP3, headphones, phone adapters like iPhone, Android. They are also portable and can be used for Euro travel by train or hotel stays.
The connection between the adapter and the US plugs is too soft, causing it to get unplugged at the slightest movement, making it unusable.
Carrying the adapter is a pain, but the power strip fits better and has a fuse which can be helpful with power surges.
79% appreciated the high power output, though 21% found it insufficient
If I plan to take my U.S. electric razor, hair dryer, etc., I will need a converter to decrease the voltage.
77% appreciated the safety features, although 23% didn't
The plug has a safety feature that engages with the power outlet's internal locking mechanism, preventing it from falling off unless pulled out straight.
If I plug a large wall charger directly into the device, it could fall out or become dangling, creating a hazardous situation.
I noticed that the adapter does not provide enough grip on the US side and heavy devices tend to fall out of it.
Heavy devices tend to fall out of the adapter due to insufficient grip on the US side.
The adapter set is not compatible with entire Europe, but it works with most Asian countries and UK/Scotland/Ireland/Wales. It is important to check the list of compatible countries.
I faced a problem with the adapter when I flew to Ireland as they have a different plug than the one used in America. I bought a converter for 10 Euros which had only 1 outlet that converted from English outlet to European and then connected a multi outlet unit to that, which gave me 7 outlets again without having to buy multiple English converters.
The adapter worked perfectly, but it only works if my device supports 220v.
