I switched from a 40 gallon tank to a tankless electric-water-heater and was surprised how well it works despite being small.

The unit automatically detects water flow and heats it to the defined setting on the main display, consuming around 22A of current.
I placed a stop cock on the discharge to control the temperature of the water coming out without having to adjust the thermostat on the unit.
My only issue with the unit is that it cannot be set to turn itself back on automatically after a power outage.
To get hot water, I have to turn down the pressure to a trickle with specific settings.

I recommend using Sharkbite or other removable fittings to avoid damaging the unit due to the durability concerns I have raised. The extra cost is worth it for achieving a tight fit and easy removal.
