I can charge my Tesla 3 fully in under 5 hours with fast charging speed.
It takes 5-6 hours to get to 100% charge.
The charging station has a digital LED display to show the charging speed and tracks energy consumption for the current charge.
86% liked the universal compatibility, but 14% didn't
The product has great quality and customer service, but it is not fully compatible with my Jeep Wrangler 4xe.
I faced difficulty in connecting the iPhone app to the charger and it would not recognize the charger.
86% appreciated the durable construction, yet 14% experienced issues
I have used two different electric vehicle charging stations and faced durability issues with them. I owned a Clipper Creek 24A for around 5 years and then bought a 40A adjustable cheapo as a Take With 2 years ago. The cheapo lasted about 3-4 months, then puked. This product thus far has worked as advertised, that gets you three stars.
90% found it easy to use
Getting started with the product was very easy and the installation and app download were simple.
I can easily adjust the amps to the desired setting and the cable is long enough to reach from the front to the back of the car.
The installation and use of our electric vehicle charging station is simple and working well so far.
When using the charger, it self-adjusts and displays the voltage, amperage, kwh, and charging time.
Mounting the charger with the included wall mount is very easy.
84% appreciated the maintenance needs, but 16% didn't
I extended the dryer circuit to the garage and changed the 30-amp breaker to 40 amps to complete the installation of the AIMILER charger.
I was told by customer service that they no longer carry parts for the failed product and it needs to be repaired by a third party. They offered me a $100 discount on a new purchase.
I have owned a Clipper Creek 24A for around 5 years and bought a 40A adjustable cheapo as a Take With 2 years ago. The cheapo lasted about 3-4 months, then puked. This shows the maintenance requirements of electric-vehicle-charging-stations.
On the 40 amp setting, my VW id4 charges at around 9.7 kw (over 36 mi/hr).
