About Philips Norelco Shaver 5400, Rechargeable Wet & Dry Shaver with Pop-Up Trimmer
Overall Feedback:
75% positive
91% were satisfied with the battery life, while 9% weren't
I forgot to charge my shaver for a month and it still shows 3/3 battery life, which is very convenient.
The battery life of this electric razor is only around 50 minutes from a full charge, and the motor begins to struggle and shaving becomes almost impossible in the last 10 minutes of battery life.
The battery life is very poor as it dies after 2 uses and I keep hoping to get it to hold a charge.
88% liked the blade type, but 12% were disappointed
The shaver is comfortable to hold.
The blades do not reach the edge of the shaver head because of the square-ish plastic bits extending beyond the circular blade zones.
I experienced some irritation while shaving, possibly due to dull blades or poor contact with the skin.
The trimmer blade doesn't go as close to the skin as regular blades.
82% highlighted the cleaning and maintenance, but 18% faced issues
Cleaning this electric razor is easy. You can depress the button under the shave heads, dump it out, and wash it with warm water.
I clean my electric razor by rinsing it off.
During simple cleaning, my electric razor fell apart when I used the same soft bristle brush I used on my old one.
I noticed hair particles on the razor, indicating it was not properly cleaned after previous use.
86% appreciated its ergonomic design, while 14% did not
I am dissatisfied with the ergonomic design of the electric razor. The squared off head is awkward, the angle between the handle and head is too shallow, the handle is fat and angular and not comfortable to grip. Additionally, I have accidentally turned off the power button mid-shave due to its location.
The ergonomic design of the electric-razor is not up to the mark. It feels like holding a small brick and the rubber gripping surfaces could be better and cover a larger area.
81% found the shaving head flexible, but 19% raised concerns
I am not used to the slightly larger shave head and it is not as flexible.
I am dissatisfied with the new design of the electric razor, especially with the shaving head flexibility. The new design is too large and makes it harder to keep the razor in contact with the skin.
The electric razor has decent battery life and provides enough power for multiple uses between charges.
