About Philips Norelco OneBlade Hybrid Electric Trimmer and Shaver
Overall Feedback:
94% positive
76% were satisfied with the battery life, while 24% weren't
The battery life is pretty long. I have used it a dozen times for haircuts and beard trims without even thinking about charging it.
I am dissatisfied with the battery life of the trimmer. It only lasts 45 minutes and takes 8 hours to charge, which is unacceptable.
The battery life is poor and it takes 8 hours to charge.
I was late to work because I had to wait for the razor to charge again.
81% liked the blade type, but 19% were disappointed
The edges of the blade are great for trimming longer hair and edging beard lines, and the flat part of the blade gives a close shave with zero irritation.
To achieve a smooth shave with the electric razor, I need to make numerous passes at different angles to get all the hair.
76% highlighted the cleaning and maintenance, but 24% faced issues
The cleaning process is simple and the blade doesn't accumulate much hair. To clean it, run the blade attachment under water and set it to dry, as recommended by the manufacturer.
For maintaining a single length of beard, the electric razor is fine, but with attachments, there will be more cleaning than shaving.
The trimming combs on my razor need constant cleaning as hair gets stuck on them.
82% appreciated its ergonomic design, while 18% did not
The ergonomics of the razor are odd and it's awkward to make countless passes. However, the angle and pivoting head design is geared towards a smooth shave.
I gave the electric razor a 3-star rating for its ergonomics as it fits well in the hand. However, it is counterintuitive to go against the grain of hair, unlike a triple-blade razor which can cut going with the grain of hair.
80% found the shaving head flexible, but 20% raised concerns
The electric razor is flexible enough to shave my head close without cutting me. It takes almost no time to use and is easy to clean up.
I have been using the electric razor to shave my head even though the manual says it is not for that.
I had a difficult time shaving my head with the trimmer. It started pulling my hair and I gave up. I was using it dry without shaving cream. Although my hair was not that long, the motor didn't seem powerful enough to get the job done effectively.
If you have weird cow-licks on your head like me, it can be tough to shave with this electric razor.
I was able to use the trimmer 2-3 times a week for months before needing to recharge it, which is impressive battery life.
