I have used this coil and induction cookware to keep entrees warm for evening meals with fellow campers. It is compatible with cookware.

When pan frying with an iron skillet, I noticed uneven heating. There is a circular spot in the center that is cooler. Bacon started browning on the edges before the center. This is likely due to the shape of the induction coil, which creates a donut shaped heat zone with a hole in the middle.
