About Frigidaire Gallery 36" Electric
Overall Feedback:
78% positive
79% found the cleaning easy
Cleaning the glass top is easy as nothing burns or cooks to it.
After applying the cooktop conditioner, it became very easy to clean.
It's easy to clean the glass of spills and oil, but difficult to get rid of streaks.
70% appreciated the cookware compatibility
I had to purchase a new set of cookware that is compatible with the electric-induction-range because my old cookware was aluminum.
83% were impressed with the heat response time
There is a 3 second delay between turning a burner on and it actually starting to heat.
77% found the heating efficient
I have never had a cooktop, whether gas or electric, that heats the pan faster than the induction cooktop.
I was drawn to the feature of energy efficiency (no wasted heat like you get with gas) and the speed with which it boils water/liquids.
84% found the safety features helpful, however 16% raised concerns
The touch controls are sensitive and can be locked with the lock key to avoid accidental turn off of the heater element during cooking.
I keep the child lock on all the time as placing something metal on it can turn it on somehow. With the child lock on, it beeps a few times but stays safe.
I appreciate the safety feature of the electric-induction-range, specifically the burner not getting too hot to touch. It is really convenient when food spills because it will not burn onto the cooktop.
I am dissatisfied with the safety features of the electric-induction-range. The stove shuts down completely if any fluid splash or steam condense on it, and the touch buttons do not respond if my fingers are wet. Additionally, if I take the pan away for any reason, that burner will shut on its own until I bring it back and turn it on again.
74% liked the temperature settings, yet 26% were disappointed
I cooked spaghetti and kept it warm for 40 minutes without burning or crusting at all to the bottom of a stainless steel pot on temperature setting 1.
The temperature control is the best. I can instantly control it by changing the power setting, which is even better than gas.
At 2, the pot will simmer strongly.
I had to lock the temperature settings while cooking to prevent it from turning off.
The electric-induction-range is compatible with a wide range of cookware, so I don't need to invest in any new cookware. This feature is useful and convenient for me.
