Overall Feedback:
88% positive
89% liked the adjustable speed feature, although 11% found it limited
I faced a problem with the electric fan motor and had to take out its guts to make it work. It would have been nice if there were instructions on how to reverse the motor.
I had to reverse the motor myself as it was turning in the wrong direction. There were no instructions provided for reversing it.
80% appreciated the sleek and modern design, while 20% thought it was unattractive
I thought it would be a 5-minute job based on the picture, but it turned out to be a 3-hour job. This shows my dissatisfaction with the aesthetics and design of the electric-fan-motors.
I faced problems while trying to install the motor, even though it looked like the original motor from the outside.
76% liked the energy-efficient design, but 24% saw high energy bills
I noticed that the motor was turning in the wrong direction, which resulted in the fan not sucking air. This indicates that the energy efficiency of the electric fan motor is poor.

83% appreciated the easy installation process, but 17% struggled with it
I thought it would be a 5 minute job, but it took me 3 hours to figure out how to make it work and drive to the hardware store.
The fan makers did not include mounting hardware.
If I am very mechanically inclined and have the right tools and hardware, the motor can be universal.
The manufacturer did not include mounting hardware for my fan.
81% liked the low maintenance requirements, but 19% found it difficult to repair
I faced a problem while attaching the new fan to the old frame and had to attach it in an unexpected way.
I had to take out the guts of the motor and turn it over to make it work. It only required removing two screws.
The product could have been five stars if it had a longer flat spot on the shaft, included instructions for reversing the motor and hardware, and mentioned the need to cut the shaft based on original dimensions in the product description.
85% appreciated the quiet operation, though 15% found it too loud
I faced issues with the electric fan motor and had to take out its guts to turn it over. However, the review does not mention anything about the noise level.
80% praised for its high-powered performance, while 20% found it underpowered
I noticed that the motor was turning in the wrong direction and not sucking air. I had to grind the flat on the shaft to allow the fan to sit down further. This indicates that the motor is not powerful enough to perform the task and I have faced the problem personally.

I bought a fan that runs very slow and does not move any air.
I faced a problem with the motor of my electric fan. I tried to fix it myself and finally fixed it by removing the guts of the motor and turning it over. It was not hard to do at all, just remove the two screws and flip it over.
83% found it to be reliable and long-lasting, while 17% experienced frequent breakdowns
I gave the product a 3-star rating even though the motor works well because the electric-fan-motors lack reliability and durability.
86% appreciated the built-in safety features, though 14% thought they were inadequate
I was stuck with the motor turning in the wrong direction. No one will take back a part that I have ground on.
The motor could have been better with a longer flat spot on the shaft. Instructions for reversing the motor, hardware, and cutting the shaft were provided. The product description should have mentioned the need to cut the shaft based on original dimensions.

I had to remove the plastic cover and noticed that the metal mounting plate had two tabs on one side and one tab on the opposite side. I used a flat-blade screwdriver and pushed up about a quarter inch on the side with one tab. When the tab cleared the slot, I inserted the screwdriver behind the tab to clear the slot as I slipped the metal plate downward. Once that side was clear of the housing, the side with two slots was easily removed.
I had to make adjustments to the motor shaft to fit it in my old NuTune bathroom vent box. I cut the flat on the shaft 1/2 inch longer with a file and then cut the shaft shorter by 1/2 inch using an abrasive cut off wheel in a rotary die grinder. It took about 10 minutes.
Installing the blowers was easy and reversing their direction was important due to the orientation of the ductwork.
