The heat functionality of this massager is effective in loosening up kinks in my neck and knots in my back. Additionally, I've noticed that the heat therapy works faster.
The heat element of the massager needs improvement as it doesn't heat up like it should.
The heat functionality of the massager is not effective. I tested it with an infrared thermometer and found that the warmest it got after 15 minutes of use was 74°F - so basically no heat at all.

There is a slight motor sound that pulses as the balls move, but it's not super loud. Headphones on not very loud would drown it out completely, and it probably wouldn't wake someone sitting next to me unless they were a very light sleeper.
