I have found the electric-back-massager to be the best for my needs as I am disabled and get very stiff muscles in certain smaller areas that bulky massagers cannot target.

I can change the intensity of the massage by interacting with the touch screen part of the massage gun, ranging from 1-20. It is easy to adjust to the speed that suits my stiffness and soreness.
To start using it, I suggest beginning with variable speed level one and taking it easy instead of jumping right in at high intensity level. It takes a bit to get the hang of it, so take your time and start on low, working your way up.
