About HoMedics Percussion Action Massager with Heat
Overall Feedback:
79% positive
76% appreciated the intensity levels, however 24% desired more variability
When set to maximum pressure, the pressure setting feels the same on both the older and new models.
The massager has several different heads to increase the intensity of the massage.
I suggest that the unit needs softer settings and the incremental settings start off too high.
The massager is extremely powerful and can get the knots out. After using it for a few minutes on low speed, I felt like I just rode a Harley Davidson for an hour.
I am dissatisfied with the switching and the inability to get the previously available very low speed, but it does not affect the quality of the massager.
73% were satisfied with the control options, yet 27% desired additional features
I suggest the electric-back-massager should have variable speed instead of multi-speed.
71% liked the heat functionality, but 29% found it inconsistent
When my muscles are sore, I start with heat and gradually increase intensity as they loosen.
The heat functionality of my electric-back-massager works well and is powerful enough to loosen my muscles as needed.
The massager stops working after a few minutes of usage and takes around 10 minutes to cool down. It seems to get too hot.
I have noticed that the unit tends to run hot even without the heat function turned on. I need to be careful to avoid burning my skin.
The heat feature of the electric-back-massagers doesn't work at all, but it wasn't a requirement when I purchased it.
If I leave the unit plugged in, it can get hot and become a potential fire hazard.
73% were satisfied with the massage techniques, although 27% found them too intense
The massager's vibrations penetrate deep into my muscles and are strong.
Using the Homedics massager on sinuses helps to loosen up the muscles, even though it may seem counterintuitive.
I have compared Homedics massagers with other massagers and found them to be far superior in terms of massage techniques. They affect a wider area and the effect is greater.
I suggest not using the massager in one area for too long as it could make the muscle more sore, based on my personal experience.
I used the massage tool and started with mild massage and then worked up to deep massage to break up tight tendons and fascia. I was able to heal a joint that not even my MD and Physical therapist was able to tell me how to heal.
I could feel the range of intensity levels offered by the massager from level 1 to 3 or so.
