This massager is a good mid-range option for those who want a strong massage but are too sensitive for true deep tissue, as most massagers have no business calling themselves deep tissue.
The massager has speed options ranging from 1-40, but I can't imagine using a level higher than three. At level three, the jabbing motion is pretty intense and jerks my hand/arm around.

I have found that the electric-back-massager has 6 different kinds of massage heads. The Y-shaped head massages the position near the spine and the ball head is my favorite for shoulder and neck. The other heads look pretty handy, but I haven't had a chance to use them yet.
