Overall Feedback:
77% positive
80% appreciated the additional features
The 3 point multi-point feature is really great.
The sound quality is very balanced with deep, rich bass, smooth and natural mids, and crisp, airy and clean sounding treble. The soundstage also sounds very open.
I like the feature of adjusting ambient sound and noise cancellation from 0-100% with a slider.
The noise cancelling is awesome, the fit is excellent, and the overall feature set is really good.
I enjoyed the sound upgrade from my old earbuds, especially with bigger, bassier EDM.
87% highlighted the battery life, yet 13% were disappointed
I have been using AirPods for years but the battery life was killing me.
After 4 months of use, the charging case stopped working.
91% appreciated the comfort and fit, although, 9% disliked
The earbuds are comfortable because they are light and have no stem, but I couldn't use the included ear tips. The stock tips make the earbuds sit too flush on my ear, causing soreness from the plastic piece.
80% found it easy to connect, while 20% encountered issues
I have connected the earbud-headphones to my phone, work, and personal computer and the switching is seamless. The sound quality is incredible for music, videos, and video calls.
I had a lot of connectivity issues with the earbuds, indicating poor connectivity.
81% were satisfied with the controls, although 19% found them confusing
After the initial setup via the app, the Technics AZ80 connects automatically every time I take the earbuds out of its case.
The touch controls can be activated by any kind of pressure, not just the user's finger.
Adjusting the amount of noise cancellation in the app did not improve it.
83% liked the durability, yet 17% experienced wear and tear
The sound quality is immersive and better than my previous headphones (WH-1000XM3 and WH-1000XM4).
The foam earpieces are uncomfortable and do not provide additional sound isolation or fit security. The earbuds feel bulky and foreign in my ear.
89% liked the noise level, but 11% found it bothersome
Even at 100% volume, I can still hear outside noise. This is the weakest area of the AZ80s earbuds, according to me.
93% liked the sound quality
The sound quality of these earbuds is stellar. I am comparing it with my previous earbuds and can't get over how immersive music is when I listen on these.
The sound quality for music, videos, and video calls is incredible and the switching is seamless.
The phone quality is of the highest tier and the sound is good, but not great.
The sound stage is noticeably wider compared to others, making music sound more accurate, detailed, and dynamic.
After customizing the equalizer and saving multiple equalizer settings, I found that the sound quality of these earbuds is on-par with the Sony WF-1000XM5s.
The headphones keep disconnecting from my phone and from each other. I have to repair them too often and sometimes it takes 15 minutes just for them to reconnect. They have officially disconnected for the last time and won't stay connected to my phone or to each other.
