For a budget DVD player, the sound is surprisingly good. It provides clear and powerful audio, making movie watching much more immersive. You can easily hear every word of dialogue and every detail in the soundtrack.
The audio performance is excellent. I hooked it up to my receiver with a digital coax and the 5.1 sound is the best I have ever gotten out of my stereo by far.

This DVD player is great for modern and older devices. The HDMI output works beautifully with my new TV, and the RCA cables connect perfectly to my older speakers. Im very happy with the variety of connection options.

I have used the DVD player to play all disc formats including DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, CDR and CDRW. I have not tried DVD+RW and burned dual layer, but it has never failed to read any disc I have put in.
