About Philips DVD Players for TV with HDMI Port 1080P All Region HD DVD Player
Overall Feedback:
71% positive
76% highlighted the audio performance, however 24% didn't
As a standalone audio CD player, it is difficult to know which track is playing because there is no display on the unit.
While searching for tracks, the DVD player is quite loud.
If using the unit as a stand alone audio CD player, it is impossible to know the track number as there is no display.
I compared the audio performance of this DVD player with my previous Samsung Hi-Def DVD players and found that the sound quality was considerably lower on this Philips player.
70% liked the connectivity options, whereas 30% didn't
One of my favorite features is the USB port, which allows me to play media files directly from a USB drive, eliminating the need for burning DVDs.
I received the product with no HDMI ports despite the listing showing HDMI connectivity in 5 different places, resulting in a negative experience.
The product came with a plug I have never seen in Europe and it was not mentioned in the product details.
I received the item without any HDMI ports to connect.
The remote control keys are multi-function and some key functions change depending on what I am doing.
The remote control for the VCR is a huge inconvenience as it only works 20 to 30% of the time for turning it on and off, and for pausing and playing the movie.
The remote control does not have an eject button.
I noticed that the remote control lacks a button for opening/ejecting the disk, which is a minor drawback.
I cannot control the volume from the remote.
84% were impressed with size and design, while 16% weren't
The DVD player has a slim and small footprint, making it easy to place on top of other boxes.
The DVD player is smaller than I thought it would be.
I was initially attracted to this DVD player because of its small size and brand recognition, making it suitable for use as a CD player.
I found the DVD player's stylish and sturdy design easy to set up and use.
The DVD player skips a lot even on perfectly good DVDs and only plays some DVDs or parts of them.
