About Woolzies Wool Dryer Balls Organic
Overall Feedback:
85% positive
78% praised the long-lasting performance, but 22% desired more
The dryer balls have lasted much longer than advertised, specifically, they have lasted much longer than 1000 loads of laundry.
Within a few months of use, the dryer balls lost their density and a few completely unraveled.
71% praised for reducing dryer noise, but 29% didn't
I was surprised by the amount of reduced static. I noticed a lot less static, especially on sports fabrics that usually cling badly to the dryer barrel and other clothes and to the body when worn. I'm not sure why it's happening.
I noticed some static for really large loads, but it is not that bad to stick socks together.

The dryer balls produce banging sounds like having tennis shoes in the dryer.
78% were impressed with the odor 22% weren't
After using the dryer-balls, I noticed a slight odor of wet wool on my nightclothes.
82% liked the softening ability, but 18% didn't
Dryer balls have a softening effect on linens like towels and sheets. My towels and linen sheets have stayed soft and fluffy since using them.
I have noticed that the dryer balls do not soften the laundry as claimed.
I had to use fabric softener again because the dryer balls decreased the softness of my towels.
Fabric softener builds up on clothes, ruins flame retardant baby items, and can prevent towels and sports clothing from being absorbent.
74% liked the static reduction
I noticed a significant reduction in static, especially on sports fabrics that usually cling badly to the dryer barrel and other clothes and to the body when worn.
I use both the product and static eliminator in the same load to soften and reduce static.
I recommend drying the dryer balls with a wet towel a few times before use to prevent loose wool fibers from shedding onto the laundry. The wet towel helps to release the fibers.
I refresh the wool balls with oil every three to four loads of laundry and let them rest a bit before using. This shows that the wool balls are easy to clean and can be easily refreshed.
I take 20 nuts, boil them in 9 cups of water for about an hour and a half, and make a concentrate that can be used for cold water. I use about 1/4-1/2 of a cup for every load and it works great.
