About Whitmor Dryer Balls - Eco Friendly Fabric Softener
Overall Feedback:
89% positive
81% found it easy to clean
Dryer balls are reusable, saving money and reducing waste compared to using single-use dryer sheets.
I have been using the dryer balls for over a year and none of them have broken.
We replace the dryer balls when the tips get worn down, and they last for about a year or more.
79% praised the lint reduction, but 21% didn't notice a difference
The clothes came out of the dryer soft and puffed but with lint all over some of them, indicating that the dryer balls did not effectively reduce lint.
80% praised the long-lasting performance, but 20% desired more
I have used previous dryer balls for years before replacing them and I am in love with the current ones. However, I am not sure about their longevity.
I will update my review if the dryer balls split in half as others have mentioned.
One of our balls has totally worn out while the older ones are still fine.
81% praised for reducing dryer noise, but 19% didn't
The dryer balls are made of soft rubbery material and do not produce any additional noise.
When I start the dryer, the dryer balls are noisy, but as it heats up, they get softer and quieter.
I have noticed that the dryer balls are adding to static instead of reducing it.
71% were impressed with the odor 29% weren't
When I first opened the package, the dryer balls had a plastic/chemical smell, but it wasn't overpowering and went away after 1 or 2 uses.
I am concerned that inhaling the smell of the dryer balls could cause harm.
I can't have these things in the house because they smell badly. I tried airing them out on the porch for a few days, but they still reek so badly that I won't let them near my clean laundry.
After washing it in soap and water, the plastic still gives off a chemical odor.
I added essential oil to the balls for a subtle scent that I personally enjoy. The oil is made from pure plant oils, not manmade, allergy inducing garbage.
I found that wool dryer balls are reusable, eliminating the need for dryer sheets and reducing packaging waste.
