About ProMark Classic Forward 5A FireGrain Hickory Drumsticks
Overall Feedback:
87% positive
76% appreciated the crisp, clear articulation
These drumsticks feel exceptionally comfortable when holding or playing with them, and make me feel like they are natural extensions of my hands. I can switch from blues to jazz to Latin beats to hard rock without having to make adjustments in technique to comfortably play in a different genre of music with these sticks.
81% appreciated the durability, though 19% faced premature wear
These sticks have near durability of oak but at slightly lighter weight of hickory.
The drumsticks I used were not durable and barely lasted longer than most other wood tip sticks. After about a month, one of the tips was chipped.
76% liked the comfortable grip
I find the grip of these drumsticks very natural and have never had any issues holding on to them. Compared to traditional varnished sticks, the grip is much better.
I hit the drums very hard and I'm not kind to sticks or heads. I've been buying vic 5as or 5bs for the past 2 years and would break at minimum one stick every time I played, but I've been using the same pair of these for over a month now so 2 gigs and also 2 rehearsals per week. I was expecting these to be a gimmick and they were kind of my last hope before buying a 50 dollar pair of aluminum core sticks but I don't need to now as I only need these.
78% praised the material quality, while 22% didn't
I find the feel of these sticks very natural and have never had any issues holding on to them. The grip is much better than traditional varnished sticks and the tackiness remains consistent even as my hands become warmer and sweatier.
I am dissatisfied with the quality of the drumsticks as they are not what they used to be.
85% praised the sound quality
These drumsticks feel exceptionally comfortable when holding or playing with them.
73% appreciated the tip shape
I am a heavy hitter and sometimes I do not hit the cymbals correctly, but these sticks hold up.

My drumsticks are warped and not straight. They are still usable but not worth the hassle of reordering. I also learned some tips on how to check if the sticks are warped or not.
The sticks have strong tips and necks due to their thick overall design and are less likely to split as they are made of durable white oak.
