Drop Cloths & Plastic Sheeting
Experiential insights by users
About Frost King P1025/6W Polyethylene Sheeting, 10' x 25' x 6 mil., Clear
Overall Feedback:
93% positive
90% praised the strong adhesive, while 10% found it lacked
I attached the plastic sheeting to the existing greenhouse cover using loctite spray adhesive. Any brand would probably work just fine.
I knew before ordering that the plastic sheeting is not clear.
89% liked the generous coverage, but 11% found it small
I used this plastic to cover my greenhouse until the end of the season.
I used this plastic sheeting to cover windows in an old trailer for winter and it worked great. It lets lots of light in, keeps cold air out, and is heavy duty so it wont tear and rip easily like those thin window treatment kits.
I used this product to cover my greenhouse roof and the plastic is heavy and thick, suggesting it will hold up well for at least 1 growing season, maybe even longer.
The plastic sheet failed to provide coverage as a water barrier and the new wood underneath got soaked everywhere.
89% found it easy to handle and maneuver
I found it easy to use plastic sheeting to create a pocket for a weighted door to regulate heat.
I highly recommend this product for its ease of handling. It can be used to cover windows in an old trailer for winter, as a moisture barrier under your crawlspace, or to cover woodpiles and keep anything else dry.
The plastic sheeting is easy to handle and has not ripped when rubbed or lightly pulled along the side of the metal wire cages.
91% liked its high tear strength, but 9% found it prone to tears
The plastic sheeting used for the quail greenhouse is tear-resistant as it did not rip when rubbed or lightly pulled along the side of the metal wire cages.
I accidentally poked a few holes in the easily tear-prone plastic sheeting and had to patch them up later.
I am frustrated with the vapor barriers in my car door panels that always tear, lose adhesion, and leak.
92% praised the thickness, while 8% found it thin
I mistakenly used millimetres terminology when describing the thickness of this item. It is actually 6mil, with 1 mil being 1/1000 of an inch, making it very thick.
6 mil plastic is too thick and never clear.
I accidentally poked a few holes in the plastic sheeting, indicating that its thickness may not be sufficient for heavy use.
I received a product that is thick and milky white, which is not what I ordered.
When I received the product, I thought it was good and thick. However, the reviews claimed it would last for years. I used it on my greenhouse, but it fell apart after four months.
87% appreciated the water resistance, yet 13% experienced leaks
One week after installing the plastic sheet on the deck area, it failed as a water barrier and soaked the new wood underneath.
78% praised the wind resistance, though 22% didn't
This plastic sheeting has good wind resistance as a clearer 2mil plastic would not have withstood the wind.
The plastic sheeting is not wind resistant as the wind is blowing around everywhere.
It is not possible to rephrase as the user did not mention the adhesive quality of the drop-cloth.
