I compared the texture of Gelatos to other mediums like chalk pastels, oil pastels, and watercolors.
The texture of the crayons is different. The top one is easy to use with water and the bottom one is lumpy and dry.
The crayons were supposed to be soft and creamy like oil pastels but turned out to be hard and required a lot of effort to color and blend.
I have complained that the gelatos are difficult to work with and are nothing but flakes and powder and crumbles all over the place. I believe that these gelatos are meant to be smooth and creamy but the 3 sets I have purchased here were nothing like that texture at all.

The only drawback of the product is that the head of the crayon is too big, which makes it difficult to control the fine line. However, other than that, it is excellent.
I use crayons to decorate small spaces and blend them with my fingers in my journal.
