About XP-PEN Deco 01 V2 Graphics Tablet 10x6.25 Inch Drawing Pen Tablet
Overall Feedback:
74% positive
82% appreciated the battery life, though 18% found it drained quickly
The pen does not require a battery or charging.
Most alternatives come with a stylus that requires power, usually a AAA battery or something rechargeable, which adds weight.
I did not mention anything specific about the tablet's battery life.
87% praised the seamless compatibility
The drawing tablet works as well as my previous Wacom tablet and is compatible with other tablets.
The table has 8 programmable buttons that support various functions across different applications.
I tried the tablet with different software on PC and android phone and faced no problems.
82% appreciated the customizable options, but 18% found them limited
If you are like me, you will need to configure two customizable buttons on the side of the tablet to replace the buttons on the stylus.
Programmable hot keys are nice but not entirely necessary if I am not learning my workflow.
92% praised the drawing accuracy, while 8% experienced some lag
When I draw, the lines are smooth, accurate, and without any jitter or shake.
I have quickly noticed that it is much easier to get precision edits and curved angles with this drawing tablet, making it easy to migrate from a mouse and GIMP.
The product installs quickly and is of good quality. However, drawing accuracy requires the user to be able to visualize and draw straight lines.
On the top half of the tablet, drawing tiny circles results in 2px ish wide squares.
88% praised the durable construction
I feel that the tablet, software, and packaging are made of high-quality materials, suggesting good durability of the product.
After using the new tablet for a few hours, it has exceeded my expectations.
I appreciate the extra accessories that come with the kit, including a protective screen, glove, extra pen tips, a pen holder, and USB adapters.
The product comes in a nice box for long-term storage.
88% liked the portable design, though 12% found it bulky
The tablet has a nice and big work surface.
I ordered the smaller XP-PEN gs640 to use at work in relative mode and it works great.
I did not mention the drawing tablet's portability.
92% appreciated the pressure sensitivity, though 8% didn't
I compared the surface of this tablet with my previous tablet (Wacom) and found that it has slightly more resistance, but it is also very smooth and consistent, with less drag and texture than other tablets I have tried.
I had never used a graphics tablet before this one and was worried it would feel different from a regular pen. However, after getting the driver and spending some time playing around with the sensitivity, I was able to get it to feel just how I wanted it. The 8192 sensitivity levels are a lot, so I cut 1/4 off the most sensitive and the top to make it smooth writing. I still have a while to go getting used to it, but its obvious this thing is more powerful than I ever could have hoped for!
I noticed no pen pressure in SketchBook.
89% praised the high-resolution, though 11% found it lacking
I had to cut 1/4 off the most sensitive level of the tablet to avoid errant marks and 1/4 off the top to avoid pressing too hard for the darkest lines. The tablet has 8192 sensitivity levels and provides smooth writing.
The tablet is beautiful and comes with a paper-like protector for the drawing area, which I highly recommend using.
I did not mention anything specific about the resolution of my drawing-and-sketching-tablet.
It is not possible to rephrase as the user did not mention the tablet's resolution.
82% liked the tilt recognition
The surface has more resistance than my Wacom, but it is still smooth and consistent with less drag and texture than other tablets I've tried.
Within two days of use, I noticed multiple micro-scratches on the surface of the pad, indicating poor battery life.
Rephrased: The pad's surface accumulated multiple micro-scratches within two days of use, indicating poor battery life.
