About HUION KAMVAS Pro 16 Graphic Drawing Tablet
68% appreciated the battery life, though 32% found it drained quickly
I haven't mentioned anything about battery life.
I did not mention anything related to battery life.
The tablet is not reliable for long use due to its short battery life.
69% praised the seamless compatibility, while 31% experienced issues
The driver works with various software like Photoshop, Medibang Paint Pro, Illustrator, Animate, and Krita, but it lags a little. It could be due to my MacBook's CPU being old.
The tablet currently lacks multiple profiles or key bindings/settings per-program, but it may be added in the future.
I am not satisfied with the compatibility of the tablet with Photoshop. When I enable tilt in my brushes, there is always a warning icon in the GUI and it doesn't seem to work very well. However, if I use the older legacy brushes that have tilt support but do not show the tilt enabled, it seems to work better. Tilt does work in Krita. So I am not sure if this is an issue with Photoshop and Huion, I don't have the Wacom to compare with anymore.
I recently possessed a cintiq and the screen went out following a couple of years. It was eventually more affordable to supplant it with a huion, so I figured I would try it out. This shows that I have used the tablet and have faced this problem personally. Based on my experience, I would like to express negative feedback regarding the compatibility of drawing-and-sketching-tablets.
78% appreciated the customizable options, but 22% found them limited
I customized the keys on the side of my tablet and used stickers to identify them.
I would like more customization options in the Huion driver software, specifically for each program (e.g. Photoshop, gimp, etc.) rather than just one set of shortcuts for all programs.
77% praised the drawing accuracy, while 23% experienced some lag
The screen has a bit of texture due to etching, but it does not affect the color accuracy.
The drawing accuracy of Kamvas Pro is unnoticeable until the edges of the screen, where it greatly increases.
It feels like sketching on paper and the lack of parallax only helps with the illusion.
There is a noticeable drop in accuracy along a centimeter-wide strip that runs the entire length of the tablet, causing the input to be off by about a millimeter.
71% praised the durable construction
My first Huion was the Kamvas G156HD v2 and it is still in perfect condition and works beautifully after a year of use.
I am satisfied with this purchase and am enjoying the tablet immensely.
I was surprised by the great build quality of the tablet and display.
69% liked the portable design
The tablet is lightweight and portable, and can be easily carried with a laptop.
The size of the product is good, but if it's too small, hands might block the view on the screen.
I found the tablet to be impressively lightweight despite its great construction.
67% appreciated the pressure sensitivity, though 33% didn't
I have a new tablet with 8092 levels of pressure sensitivity compared to 1024 levels on my old Wacom, but I couldn't feel the difference.
68% praised the high-resolution, though 32% found it lacking
The tablet has vibrant and accurate colours, a small distance between where the pen presses and the screen, and the provided gloves allow for a smooth glide over the surface.
I like Huion the best so far because it registers pressure at a lighter touch, very similar to a Wacom in this way.
I tried to calibrate the graphics display and encountered the first big negative. Calibrating the pen tablet broke the precise tracking. Rephrased: Calibrating the pen tablet broke the precise tracking while trying to calibrate the graphics display.
76% liked the tilt recognition, while 24% experienced glitches
Initially, I did not think using a stand for the tablet was necessary, but it made a huge difference in comfort and made drawing on a tilted screen less awkward.
I have issues with tilt recognition of the tablet while working with Photoshop. I have also attached a screenshot.
