About Boogie Board Jot Reusable Writing Tablet
Overall Feedback:
76% positive
73% appreciated the battery life, though 27% found it drained quickly
On my old tablet, I never changed the battery and it lasted for daily use and multiple erases. I still don't need to replace it.
I have been using the tablet for 2 years and have never had to change the battery. It is like magic in terms of lasting power.
Every review states that the battery of this eWriter lasts for 7 years, but my product was not sold to me new or in good condition.
85% praised the seamless compatibility
The tablet has built-in magnets and a stylus holder.
I have been using this tablet for a few years now and it is running just fine. From other reviews, it seems like there may have been a bad batch a few years back, but mine is from that time too and it is working fine for me.
The board is brighter and the stylus has a sharper point, making it easier for thin or thick writing. The built-in holder is convenient and holds the stylus securely.
89% praised the durable construction, but 11% faced issues
I have been using this product for more than 10 years and have not been gentle with it. I have used it for different purposes like abuse, travel, boredom in meetings, and having different mounting methods in my notebooks. Despite all this, the product has still lasted for this long period.
Sometimes the screen gets scratched due to hand gunk/natural skin oils, but I just wipe it with my shirt every couple of days and it is back to new.
The previous model was worn out and the new one is disappointing compared to the original. However, the old clip attachment provided extra stability for durability.
I suggest reengineering the product with stronger plastic that doesn't weather and crack easily.
I haven't mentioned anything about the tablet's portability.
The device is not portable due to the screen having no cover and getting marked when in a bag. The hard edges scratch against it and I even accidentally bumped the 'clear' button once. So, using it as a portable shopping list or whatever is not possible.
86% appreciated the pressure sensitivity
I can write on the board without worrying about the pressure from my hand activating the LCD crystals and covering up what I have written.
88% praised the high-resolution, though 12% found it lacking
The tablet is much brighter and colorful. It's easy to see what's been written in any light.
I wish the eWriter screen could be divided into one-inch horizontal lines with an erase button for each line, allowing for more flexibility and completing erase tasks one by one instead of erasing the entire screen at once.
I appreciate the programmable hot keys and customizable stylus switches of my KAMVAS 13 drawing tablet. They allow me to have quick access to my favorite shortcuts and tools, streamlining my workflow.
The tablet is compatible with a Linux based laptop and adding drivers was easy with simple instructions for those familiar with Linux or who know someone who is.
I wish I had bought this tablet at the start because it doesn't require a 1x AAA battery for the pen like my previous Huion 420 tablet, which made me feel awkward due to the weight from the battery, especially during spins.
