If I were to install again, I would attach the base first and then align the post as it provides more room to mark the holes. The hardest part of installation is ensuring that the post lines up with the base.

The doorstop is sturdy with a strong magnet, but the wall anchors provided are cheap and non-expanding, which got pulled out of the wall by the magnet. I had to use my own drywall anchors to make it work perfectly.
I am concerned that the door stop may not be suitable for hollow panel doors as the screws in the door itself may eventually pull out due to the strong magnet. The anchors cannot be used in the hollow door, and metal flange type anchors seem too long for the inside door cavity.
The door stop is quite sturdy and requires a lot of force to pull out.
