I was able to install the door-lock-replacement-parts pretty easily with just a power drill to pre drill the holes.
The plate comes with 4 3 12 inch screws and 2 1 inch screws. The longer screws anchor the plate not only into the door jam but the door framing as well, making for a more secure door.
