About Prime-Line E 2014 Stainless Steel Mortise Lock
Overall Feedback:
85% positive
78% praised the durability, while 22% found it wore out quickly
After 7 months, the product broke and the one it replaced lasted 12 years, indicating poor durability.
I purchased a second one that wouldn't complete the locking action even after adjusting it to both extremes and everywhere in between.
The product comes completely unlubricated inside, grinds horribly when used, and has issues with the adjustment screw causing it to freeze up when fine-tuning the latch distance.
I suggest buying two locks as the spring in the lock tends to break every 6 months.
83% found it easy to install, while 17% faced difficulties
It was very easy for me to install, but the handle mechanism is stiff and cannot lock closed.
I noticed that the manufacturer is not responsible for any damage incurred during installation. This indicates that the installation process may be difficult or require technical expertise.

76% were impressed with the the high-quality materials, but 24% weren't
After 8 months of installation, the lock broke due to the spring inside busting, indicating poor quality of materials used.
The first one lasted for a year and the second one broke within a few months, indicating poor quality of the material used in the door-lock-replacement-parts.
The spring quality is terrible, but the lock frame is fine.
The lock frame is made of cheap aluminum instead of steel.
79% liked the security features, but 21% found them insufficient
I warn others not to buy this latch lock and advise them to get any other one besides this one.
I have found that the product fits and works fine despite some differences in the push-button location compared to the original hardware.
