About Probrico Square Entry Levers and Single Cylinder Deadbolts Combo Pack
Overall Feedback:
76% positive
77% found it comfortable to use, but 23% disagreed
The installation process of the deadbolt is difficult and requires removing two tiny allen set screws, which is a pain in the posterior. It is also cursing intensive to install.
76% praised the modern design, but 24% didn't
I liked the contemporary design and aesthetics of the door-levers after a major update to my home that included 3 new doors.
The design and aesthetics of the door-levers are not good as it is obvious if either of them is not straight and level.
74% appreciated the high-quality construction, although 26% faced issues
The locksets and deadbolts are decent and heavyweight, not hollow and cheap feeling.
I used Loctite on all the screws and found it to be a good suggestion. Tightening the set screw into the plate and keeping the plate tight against the door was difficult.
All three of our handle/deadbolt sets had problems with the deadbolts.
76% found it easy to install, but 24% encountered difficulties
I found the door handle/lockset fairly easy to install, but the deadbolt required the removal of two tiny allen set screws, which was a painful and cursing-intensive process. Set screws, especially tiny ones in hard-to-access locations, are a large pain.
The deadbolts are difficult to lock/unlock by hand and with a key.
67% appreciated the quiet operation, but 33% found it noisy
The front door requires a different lockset, so its key won't match. But I never enter that way anyway.
I did not mention anything about the noise level of the door-levers.
74% liked the smooth operation, but 26% experienced stiffness
I have been frustrated with the operation of the door-levers. It requires more time and effort than any lockset I have installed before, wearing my patience thin.
75% appreciated the security features, although 25% didn't
I like the feature where the lever does not turn and automatically unlocks the door from the interior. I have to throw the thumb latch every time I unlock the door from the interior, making it impossible to lock myself out.
I appreciate the security feature of the door-levers. The lever will not turn and automatically unlock the door from the interior. I must throw the thumb latch every time I unlock the door from the interior, making it impossible to lock myself out.
The security of door-levers is compromised due to the close proximity of the square knob plate and the square deadbolt plate. If either of them is not straight and level, it becomes very obvious.
The installation process of the deadbolt is difficult and requires removing two tiny allen set screws, which is a pain in the posterior. It is also cursing intensive to install.
The handles provide better grip compared to knobs and are great for my semi-arthritic hands.
