The doorbell works great with a loud and clear sound throughout the house.
I bought this particular doorbell mainly because of its customization.
The speaker works as intended and is of good quality, but the doorbell is a poorly designed plastic piece.
The range of our doorbell is extremely poor, which is the main reason for the 2-star rating.

The batteries die every month or two, even though nobody rings the doorbell.
I replaced the battery after a few months as the original battery had died. However, even after replacing it, the unit is not working consistently.
The battery-operated version drains batteries in about a month and also drains the battery acid out of them.
The battery life of the remote button lasted for 2 weeks and the replacement unit lasted for about two months. Amazon claimed it would last 5 years.

The buttons require a few seconds to be pressed.
After 3-1/2 months of use, the prongs on the mounting brackets broke off and I find the button design to be bad.
I have complained about the poor design and quality control of the bracket that interfaces between the push button and a wall surface, resulting in an uneven flush surface.
The button has been touchy from the start and has gotten worse over time.

I appreciate the design of the device. It looks like a doorbell and not an iPod hanging on the doorframe.
Installing the doorbell is easy and it offers a nice selection of doorbell tones and audio settings.
I would like the doorbell to look more like a real doorbell.
I have complained about the poor design and quality control of the door-bell-push-buttons. The bracket interfacing between the push button and a wall surface is not flush on the surface facing a wall, which prevents the use of an adhesive strip.

Installing the doorbell push button was easy and it has a nice selection of doorbell tones and audio settings.
I installed the product easily using a Honeywell RPWL3045A extender to sync it with my wired system.
Setting up the doorbell push button was very easy. It only required putting batteries in and attaching the button.
I had to 3D print a bracket to cover the plate where I put the Honeywell wired to wireless adapter in the wall. It worked well.

I don't have a preference for the lighting or sound effects of the doorbell. It just needs to work every time I press the button.
I am not interested in the lighting feature of the doorbell push button.
A red light appears just below the button to indicate that the chime will sound, but it is a minor inconvenience.

I noticed that the door-bell-push-button may not be weather resistant as it stopped working in cold weather.
The product was working fine until the cold weather came, but now it's not working. It seems to be a problem with the exterior push button.
I received a new button from Honeywell to replace the rusted one in less than 3 weeks, suggesting poor weather resistance.
