I added knots to the leash for a good grip, especially when my dog hits the end of the leash at top speeds. I also added another knot at about two feet from the clip to use as a traffic handle length.
The leash is comfortable to grip as it does not slide through my hand quickly and does not burn my hand like standard nylon leashes.

I use a 30 ft. long line so my puppy can run, sniff, and explore without being on a six ft leash and with no worries that he won't come back.
