We tried a lot of different things, but nothing worked, so we bought the recommended conditioner on Amazon, and it worked great.

The cat seemed to like it, as long as he was fed treats, and I did not pull too hard. It took about an hour to get one side of his back done using only the tool-side with the lesser number of

I bought it for a friend's cat, who stopped taking care of itself, and I used it on him several times, and it took out the knots that were tying it up, and the cat allowed me to use it.

I was brushing my fur-covered boy every day for a while, but my dad forgot to do it, and he ended up with a matted fur on his back, because he hadn't brushed it in a while.

I decided to use this before I shaved off the clumps on his back because he is very old and doesnt clean himself.

    FAQ

    Q:

Is this good for my medium-haired British cat? He doesn't get matted, just sheds a lot so need it to collect loose hair.

    A:

I think this brush would work, but it wouldn't because the blades aren't close together like a regular cat comb.

    Q:

Will my dog's hair be matted easily if this works for him?

    A:

I have a shih-poo and it's too much of a mess to clean with this brush.

    Q:

I don't want that, I'm not supposed to cut out alaskan malmautes fur.

    A:

It can appear that way but holding dead hair is not good either I groom my one Ragdoll who is prone to knotting and it gives him great relief but, I don't know if it destroys a double coat.

    Q:

Will this work for me, a mane coon with long hair?

    A:

My dog has long hair that's thick and like COTTON, so I use it on him all the time, it's the best.

    Q:

My next opinion when I take my dog to the groom is that they will cut her skirt off and I don't want it.

    A:

I returned mine because it was way to harsh on my cat and it would have ripped her skin to shreds, so if it's just the skirt, you should be fine.
