I have a dog who considers her crate as her own and won't potty in it.
The dog playpen is easy to wipe clean and has no rough edges.
I like that the pee pad fits perfectly under the pen with extra on all sides. This way, the pen doesn't sit directly on the flooring and I am prepared in case of accidents.

The playpen is not sturdy enough on its own. My 18 pound Italian greyhound was able to drag it all around the room, completely distorting the original shape and making a huge mess in the process.
I found that the product is not durable and can be broken or escaped by a strong-willed and determined dog. It is also cheap, lightweight and unstable.
On the second day, the puppy chewed up the pen and escaped after only being housed for 45 minutes.
The gate is difficult to open due to two latches about a foot apart, but the poles holding the fence sections are strong and attractive.

I have complained that the rubber stops mentioned in the description are missing, making the structure insecure and prone to scratching the floor.
I had a horrific accident with the dog-playpen gate and realized that there is a dangerous flaw in the design. The narrow part of the gate is welded and cannot be removed easily. My puppy got her paw stuck in this part of the gate and I was unable to free her. I had to call the fire department to rescue and break the gate apart to free my puppy's paw and leg.

My 3 month old golden has learned to put his rear paws into the crossbars and climb over the wall of the 32 inch model. I don't think the 40 inch model would deter him from climbing.
