The scissors cut through fur easily because they are very sharp.
Using the scissors, I can easily cut mats and burrs out of the fur without leaving bald spots, making it a painless experience for my dogs.

The scissors feel heavy and drag at the teeth when opening and closing. Upon checking the alignment, I found a big gap between the blades, causing the problem. They are made of 2 pieces of metal held together by a screw, and the side with the teeth has more of a bend/curve than the other side, creating the issue.
