The grooming rake is comfortable to use and can get big and small knots, even close to my cat's neck, without causing any discomfort.
The curved tines on the rake make it more comfortable for me and it does an amazing job of grabbing hair.

I love the tool because it allows me to isolate the mats from my dog's skin, thin them out, and then gently pluck them out one by one.
