After one of my dogs experienced a slab fracture in a back tooth caused by chewing on a hard plastic toy, my vet cautioned me that if a toy or chew doesnt give at all when pressing into it with a fingernail, it could crack a dogs tooth.
The bones are not made of nylon, but instead are made of a hard plastic/resin with sharp edges that can hurt my dog's gums and tongue.
