About KONG - Extreme Dog Toy - Toughest Natural Rubber, Black
Overall Feedback:
91% positive
76% found different sizes helpful , but 24% struggled to find
I ordered a medium Kong for my 11-pound puppy, but it was too small and even smaller than the recommended weight for the medium size Kong.
The toy is a bit too small for my 30lb, 5 month old pittie/aussie mix and the opening may only be large enough for him for another month.
The new toy is half an inch shorter and the large opening is too small for my 16lb Shitzu/Poodle mix.
81% felt the toy was safe
This toy is arguably the safest dog toy due to its durability and build, making it less likely for me to worry about my dog penetrating or eating the rubber on it.
75% found the toy easy to clean, while 25% struggled
The toy is easy to clean as I can clean it out in 20 minutes or less.
I clean the KONG by soaking it in warm, soapy water and then using a small bottle brush to remove any remaining peanut butter.
The toy is easy to clean as it is dishwasher safe.
It's hard to clean the toy when I use paste and also hard to get treats in and out.
88% appreciated the toy's durability
The dog enjoys chewing on this toy, but not the one above it unless she is anxious with nothing else to do.
I am satisfied with the durability of the product as my dog is a heavy chewer and this is the only toy he can't destroy.
My dog is rough on toys and has turned stuffed animals into stuffing clouds, but the kongs have always stayed pristine despite the abuse.
80% enjoyed the varied chew textures, whereas 20% didn't
I have found that this toy is great for super chewers and it's the first one that can't be torn up.
The toy's chew texture is not suitable for my dog as he was able to chew off the top portion in just 2 days.
The vet recommended that dog toys should flex when they bite down to avoid any harm to their teeth. This toy flexes when my dog bites down, so I don't worry about his teeth breaking.
