I can breathe normally without worrying about water entering the pipe or gasping for air.
I could breathe easily without any issue while snorkeling.
I always end up breathing in and choking on sea water when I use a traditional snorkel. However, the Oceanic Ultra-Dry 2 Snorkel has a flapper that closes when water tries to go down the snorkel tube but stays open for air. I used to have to constantly clear the tube before taking a breath or risk taking water into my lungs. This snorkel keeps a large majority of water out of the tube even when I go underwater to look at fish, when I come back up, the tube is usually clear, like magic. It's not 100% fool proof but a lot better than the traditional snorkel. Makes snorkeling a lot more enjoyable.
