Based on my experience, I have only had a couple of leaks, but I understand that it is expected to happen sometimes.
I compared the current version of Huggies Overnites with the previous versions and found that it has better leak protection. The diaper holds more liquid overall (by weight) and resists compression leaks and wicking.

The diapers are soft and the Velcro is very effective, which is good because I have a toddler who tends to tug at the diaper to try to remove it.
