This device works great for delivering stereo PCM over S/PDIF, and the built-in Linux audio drivers support it. Both coax and optical work simultaneously.

This digital-to-analog-signal-converter is plug and play with Win10. I plugged it in and within one second Windows recognized the interface and changed the setting to output audio through the new device.
The device supports hardware volume control, but it only affects the analog ports and not the optical port.
I am dissatisfied with the packaging and user manual of the product. The booklet is written in broken English and some sentences are unclear. I advise not to buy the product if a fully comprehensible manual is expected.
