I am using this device to connect my older Bose V30 audio system to a new Roku Ultra, which is not compatible with the Bose system.
This device is being used to drive my older Bose V30 audio system from a new Roku Ultra. The Bose can't pass 4K video, so I'm using this box to split out an optical audio stream the Bose can cope with. It works just fine, and the video passthrough of 4K UHD is perfect, audio is 5.1 as advertised and sounds great, and the audio sync is actually an improvement over the previous Roku (which had its own optical-out).
I successfully used the digital-to-analog-signal-converter to connect my Mac Mini to the Bose sound-bar 600 and it worked perfectly.
I purchased this HDMI audio extractor with coaxial output to use with my 4K Bluray player that used HDMI output for sound but no coaxial. However, the quality of the extractor is very low.
I found that the product is not entirely suitable for driving headphones, despite being advertised as such.
I purchased this HDMI audio extractor with coaxial output because my new 4K Bluray player used HDMI output for sound but no coaxial. However, it is really very low quality.
83% liked the connectivity, but 17% found it lacking
I was able to connect the Bose sound-bar to my Mac Mini using an extractor from the HDMI port and an optical cable, and it worked perfectly.
I faced issues with the new HDMI splitter and switched back to this one, which worked perfectly fine.
I use this box to split out an optical audio stream for my Bose audio system as it cannot pass 4K video.
The device works perfectly and can pass through 4K UHD video with 5.1 audio as advertised. The audio sync is also better than my previous Roku.
I faced a problem with the adapter as it cannot be identified as an audio device like a soundbar.
I faced a problem with the device when I tried to use a bluetooth transmitter receiver with it, and got audio delay or out of sync.
I couldn't adjust the low sound coming out.
82% praised the conversion accuracy, while 18% experienced distortion
I faced issues with the new HDMI splitter as it did not work properly with my 1440p and 120hz setup.
I faced a problem with the device when I tried to use a bluetooth transmitter receiver with it. I got audio delay or it was out of sync.
89% appreciated the durability, although 11% found it wore out
The device works perfectly with a 4K UHD video passthrough, 5.1 audio, and improved audio sync compared to the previous Roku. It sounds great too, just as advertised.
The device works perfectly and can pass through 4K UHD video with 5.1 audio as advertised, sounding great.
The only drawback was that the stereo jack to RCA cable was not long enough for my setup. However, I had a longer one in my drawer of misfit cables.
I have noticed that the audio output is not suitable for driving headphones despite being advertised as such.
I purchased a new 4K Bluray player that only used HDMI output for sound, so I got an HDMI audio extractor with coaxial output. However, the quality is very low.
I suggest that this device is suitable for driving self-amplifying devices like speakers, but not for headphones.
I purchased a new Bluray player with HDMI output for sound but no coaxial. I bought an HDMI audio extractor with coaxial output, but it was of very low quality.
65% praised the heat management, but 35% faced issues
I noticed that the device draws power from the Blu Ray Player and does not require a separate power source.
I have not mentioned anything about heat management of digital-to-analog-signal-converters.
67% found the led indicators helpful, while 33% didn't
I did not mention the LED indicators of digital-to-analog-signal-converters.
I noticed that there is no volume control, so the extractor's volume cannot be increased.
After testing all the devices, it turned out that this device caused the issue.
82% liked the portability, but 18% found it flimsy
I found an audio extractor splitter after searching and decided to give it a try.
I could only find this item with both digital optical and coaxial ports and it works great.
This device is small and USB-powered, but it is not suitable for driving headphones. It is recommended to use an amplifier to properly drive a set of headphones.
83% liked the user interface, but 17% found it confusing
The audio sync is better than the previous Roku, indicating that the digital-to-analog-signal-converters have a user-friendly and effective interface.
The adapter is not recognized as an audio device like a soundbar.
I am frustrated with the product. How could it be released without proper quality control?
I have complained about the extractor's lack of volume control, resulting in no way to increase the volume.
I faced a problem with the device as it did not change the identifier on the HDMI line, resulting in Linux (Kubuntu Lunar) not detecting the audio available on the HDMI line and not giving me the option to redirect sound to it.
I suggest that this extractor is not suitable for driving headphones and requires an amp, which defeats the purpose of getting a small, USB-powered extractor.

We can watch TV together even if one of us has hearing difficulties. Just hook your headphones into a DAC02/BT transmitter (Avantree Prima III recommended).
