About iArkPower HDMI 2.0 Audio Extractor 4K60Hz HDMI to HDMI
Overall Feedback:
77% positive
70% appreciated the wide compatibility, though 30% experienced issues
I could use my old sound bar with my new TV via the digital optical TOS-LINK port on this iArkPower audio extractor, which met my needs perfectly.
I received a clean line level audio signal from the RCAs and did not notice any decrease in screen resolution on the TV.
I have tried switching out the HDMI cable and the optical cable to make sure it wasn't some other component, but I have had the same result. This leads me to believe that it can only be the signal splitter.
After installing the new replacement unit, I noticed that while the video was passed through correctly, the audio had issues.

I have complained that the signal splitter is very particular. If it is not set just right, it causes a really annoying flicker on the screen, almost like screen tearing. And if it is really misplaced, it makes some crazy loud static noise.
66% praised the conversion accuracy, while 34% experienced distortion
I have experienced audio stopping at 10 second intervals, as if a buffer is overloaded and needs to be reset, but then it resumes in sync with the video. This cycle repeats regardless of the video content.
Occasionally, the audio cuts out for a moment or two, usually no more than 1 second, when I use this splitter.

Occasionally, the audio cuts out for a moment or two, usually no more than 1 second. It almost feels as if some kind of buffer is overflowing and resetting, with the audio coming back in sync right after.
I think the problem lies with the signal splitter, indicating that the conversion accuracy of the digital-to-analog-signal-converters is not up to the mark.
69% appreciated the durability, although 31% found it wore out
I have been using this splitter for about 1.5 years now and use it nearly daily.
I was able to unpack the unit, power it up with the transformer, plug in my cables and I was good to go.
I was pleasantly surprised by the device's small size, weight, and sturdy construction.
I have expressed frustration with the unit, as it may not be durable and has been difficult to deal with.

Occasional audio cuts out for a moment or two when using the splitter. It could be a durability issue with the digital-to-analog-signal-converters.

I am satisfied with the device and hope it holds up over time.
I am satisfied with the device as long as it holds up over time.

I have a device with a three position slide switch that allows me to select from three output modes.
I have found that the device does not affect the picture quality of the TV signal and the lip-sync with the sound is still perfect.
I unpacked the unit, powered it up with the transformer, plugged in the cables and I was good to go.
The red annunciation did not illuminate.

My unit is very particular about its position. If it's not set just right, it causes a really annoying flicker on the screen, almost like screen tearing. And if it's really misplaced it makes some crazy loud static noise.

The only minor issue I have with the device is the location of the ports. I wish all the ports were on one side for better cable management.
69% liked the portability, but 31% found it flimsy
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the device is small yet heavy and well-constructed.
It's frustrating when the signal splitter starts up with issues and I have to stop what I'm doing and move the device around to settle the signal.
I faced a design oversight and had to learn about Audio Return Channel (ARC) to fix the issue. I found that my TV supports this technology after digging through the settings.
