The unit does an excellent job of keeping clear aligners/braces sparkling clear and sparkling clean, I think theLED was going bad in the advertisement light thats in it, which is totally unnecessary by the way.
I have had mine for two weeks and have not tried it with any tablets or powders. I have used a pump or two of EverSmile Whitefoam on occasion when I have drank tea with my aligners in, but it is not something I would recommend.
I like the fact that I can use it to clean my toothbrush heads after I finish my orthodontics.
I was looking for an alternative to efferdent when I ran out and found this. My retainer has never been so clean.
The light begins to blink, and then it automatically shuts off, I got back to work, rinse the little machine, and put it under the sink for the night.
Question & Answers
Do you need to use the plastic tray?
If you use it to clean smaller items, it can be used to lift out your trays, retainer or both.
What is the size of the tank?
It's similar to the size of a large coffee cup.
How long will it last?
It's an appliance, and probably as long as your toaster would.
Is it possible to use polident denture cleaning tabs in this?
It's just a matter of being vigilant not to over fill the water.
Is the smile direct club water flosser heads compatible with this?
No. There are two holes cut out, one is on either side, and the toothbrush fits in from both sides.
