The new design of the unit is easier to clean, lighter, and saves more space, but it requires more time and attention.
I noticed that the new model has a black top and the motor/fan are in the top.
I have an old model with a white color, clear lid, and the motor/fan in the base.
I noticed that the trays which come with the new model are not easily interchangeable with the old trays.

The dehydrator has no temperature control and regulates itself at around 120 farenheit. It wanders significantly and gets up to near 130 before the heater shuts off and slowly cools back down to the upper 110s before warming back up.
